Mr. Merrell is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1987 and from the Physician’s Assistant program at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 1990. Mr. Merrell holds a Masters in Business from the Louisiana State University. He is an officer in the Louisiana National Guard and has served active duty. Mr. Merrell started his career after graduation with CVT in 1990 and left in 1993 to work in the fields of family medicine and neurosurgery. He returned to CVT in 2005 and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician’s Assistants.
