Dr. James Craven is certified by the American Board of Surgery in both general and vascular surgery.

Dr. Craven is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and graduated from LSU in 1993.
He received the Doctor of Medicine degree in 1997 from LSU Medical Center in Shreveport. Dr. Craven completed residency in General Surgery and a fellowship in Vascular Surgery at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans in 2003. From 2003 until 2006 Dr. Craven was in the private practice of vascular surgery in Metarie, LA.. He has been with CVT Surgical Center since 2006.
