Dr. P. Michael Davis is certified by the American Board of Surgery in General
and Vascular Surgery.
Dr. Davis is a native of Alabama and graduated from the University of Alabama in 1987. He received the Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1992. He completed a residency in general surgery at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine, Rochester, Minnesota followed by a vascular surgery fellowship at Mayo Clinic finishing in 1998. Dr. Davis has a special interest in minimally invasive and catheter-based treatments, especially of carotid artery disease and abdominal aortic aneurysm. He was a principle investigator in a large national randomized trial for carotid stent procedures (SAPPHIRE). He has extensive experience with the endovascular stent graft treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms, performing the first procedure in Baton Rouge in 1999. Dr. Davis has been a member of CVT Surgical Center since 1999.
