CVT Surgical Center Physicians
Our surgeons are board-certified in both general and thoracic surgery. All are members of the American Medical Association, Louisiana State Medical Society and the East Baton Rouge Parish Medical Society. They serve on the active surgical staffs of Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge General Medical Center (Mid-City and Bluebonnet), and Summit Hospital.

B. Eugene Berry, M.D. completed his medical
training in general surgery at Ochsner Clinic
in New Orleans and in thoracic/cardiovascular
surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

training in general surgery and thoracic/cardiovascular
surgery at Baylor College of Medicine and M.D.
Anderson Hospital in Houston. |

R. Scott Thurston, M.D. completed his residency
training in general surgery and thoracic/cardiovascular
surgery at Baylor and M.D. Anderson Hospital in
Houston. He was a fellow in pediatric surgery
at Denver's Children's Hospital. |
